This photo shows where the monarchs all went to rest or shelter. I've seen them do this before, so it seems to be their shelter of choice.
I'm pretty sure the Monarch butterflies I saw yesterday was a male. No interest in milkweed plants unless the plants had nectar.
I've watched female Monarchs in this garden, and they don't stop to nectar. They have a job to do and they get it done!
