I have seen a LOT of them here in Oklahoma City. It's hard to pinpoint exactly which dates and times. They arrived in mid-August, and I have already gathered a lot of caterpillars.
So far, of the 40 or so that I've gathered, most of them have succeeded in going into chrysalides, with a failure rate of about 20%, due to tachinid wasps.
When that happens, I throw them into a bag in the freezer, to keep the wasps from finishing their life-cycle. Also, that will allow me to count the number of failures at the end of the season.
