Monarch Adult Sighted
Sightings report image

Date: 08/31/2017

Number: 7

Day #2 after Hurricane Harvey left and tons of Monarchs today all over the place. Some males just nectaring and fighting off anything else (each other, other butterflies and hummingbirds). Females that came laid eggs. Just checked my waystation, and what a find! The hurricane did not hurt the garden like I thought it would. Found record numbers of eggs and caterpillars! Thirteen 1st instars, six 2nd instars, two 5th instars, and 91 eggs!
