On Aug 29th and again today Aug 31st, I saw 2 Monarch caterpillars on milkweed near the Elizville Deli in Elizaville, NY. They did not appear to be in the same phase of development. Have yet to see a Chrysalis at this site despite having seen several caterpillars in various instar phases over the past many days. The garden is dense and so there may be some may be concealed.
