Hummingbird Sighting

Date: 09/03/2017

Number: 11

Eleven female or juvenile RTs heavily contesting 3 feeders (also present was one adult male who was separately reported under adult male.)
The RTs have completely emptied 2 cups of nectar today. I will be cleaning and refilling 2 of the 3 feeders shortly. The third feeder has not been emptying as well (I have to keep bumping it for it to release bubbles building up in the feeder portion.) I made the solution for all 3 feeders at once yesterday so it is the feeder not the solution.

Please remember to clean your feeders! The hummingbirds' health depends on it.

Early reports in Eastern Texas and Louisiana indicate thousands of dead birds...our hummingbird and song bird populations may be down significantly next spring because of losses during migration.
