this year was a disaster. in june I saw one 4 star larvae on milk weed. in july I saw 2 tine larvae on milkweed only to disappear by the next day. since then I have had no eggs, no larvae, at all. plenty of adult butterflys in garden. the past several years I have had 15 and up chryallis's in and around butterfly garden (side of house etc) last year all milkweed was consumed. this year I have more milkweed and no larvae. I cannot understand what happened.
