When releasing two males, I saw at least 7 monarchs visiting the Joe Pye Weed drifts and other prairie plants. I spotted the first monarch who flew right over me at 7:20 a.m. The park was full of sights/ sounds of migrating birds....chipping sparrows, Blue Jays, hummingbirds, wrens, cat birds, and robins. I'm sure I've missed many other species.
