Small milkweed patch on edge of 5-acre field on my 200 acre property 6 miles NE of Cooperstown NY. One monarch caterpillar apparently entering a folded milkweed leaf near where I spotted a monarch butterfly on 5/21/17and reported it to you. Quite a few milkweed tussock moths chewing on other nearby milkweed plants.

No other monarch butterflies or caterpillars seen on my property this year in contrast to recent past years. John S. Davis
