Observed a large adult monarch on a small aster flower then moved to a goldenrod flower. Lots of swamp milkweed plants in this marshy area.
This was my first Monarch sighting of the year. Great to finally see one in my area, hopefully there are more. I have seen a lot of "painted lady"butterflies in our area this summer.
