I went to the Lake Huron beach at Harrisville State Park at 12:30 PM to see if the monarchs were migrating on the northwest wind at 18 mph. The day was cloudy and the temperature at 56F. I observed 4 monarchs holding tight on the sand and saw another monarch in the park on a leaf of a birch tree about 15' above the ground. I ended my walk as the rain began to fall with the temperature at 63F. at 2:30 PM.
