Signs of Fall

Date: 09/09/2017

Number: 100

Have never seen so many

Editor's note: this season we have been receiving many, many reports of large quantities of Monarch butterflies in one area. We are presuming these to be Painted Lady butterflies as we have been also receiving many reports of large quantities of Painted Lady butterflies in close proximity. Monarchs generally do not migrate together en masse, but will occasionally cluster together overnight in one spot in what is termed a Roost.
