One newly-arrived female came to the garden late this morning to lay eggs on the tropical milkweed (Asclepias curassavica) and the swamp milkweed (Asclepias incarnation). The picture shows her laying an egg on a swamp milkweed leaf. As can be seen, she is large and brightly colored; she is also a strong flyer and appears to be in excellent health. All said, she's a beauty.
