One probable 4th instar caterpillar was sighted on tropical milkweed (Asclepias curassavica) about 15 minutes after sunset this evening. The caterpillar appeared to be healthy and was still moving about, probably looking for a place to retreat overnight.
This is the fourth caterpillar sighting I've logged with Journey North today in addition to another posting about a new female who arrived in the late morning to lay eggs. This was a productive day for the monarchs.
