I haven't seen my 'regulars' for a few days now. Just before sunset I saw a 'traveler'. My usual birds prefered the deck area where it is hummingbird heaven with lots of flowers still in bloom. (bee balm, nasturium, fuschia, calibrachoa, viola, morning glories, vining black eyed susan, scarlet runner beans, phlox) This bird stayed at the far end of the garden, about 60 feet from the deck. I have a feeder hung close to the 2 apple trees. I wonder if the red apples caught her attention? There are a few pots/baskets of annuals there as well. She spent time at the feeder and the hanging basket of nasturium before zipping into my neighbors maple tree.
