These monarchs were observed at Sierra Blanca microbrewery in Moriarity, NM on Tuesday, Sept. 5th. There were lush gardens with several large butterfly bushes. The two flew around the gardens for the hour we were there. There were also a number of painted ladies there as well. You could tell the differences between the two with the monarchs being larger and having a black body.
