I'm starting to see my first migrating Monarchs engaged in directional flight to the southwest. The few I saw this morning were on the move for the most part & not stopping long enough for me to net & tag. The Maximilian sunflowers on the wildlife area are just starting to bloom, so I'll be watching now for our first evening roost in this general area!
