Fifteen to twenty hummingbirds, about half male, nectaring on our large zinnia beds, crepe myrtles, rose-of-Sharons, other flowers I can't name, and three feeders. They love the cover-a jumble of Carolina Jasmine and weeping yaupon. All but one appear to be ruby-throated. The exception is very dark--gray or black--with a white ring around the neck. It may very well be the same variety and I am mistaken about its identity.
