Charlie emerged his chrysalis this morning. I kept him inside while his wings dried and he got plenty of exercise. I took him outside and placed him on a leaf of my potted avocado tree where he is roosting. It's a beautiful, warm, sunny September afternoon perfect to begin his long journey to Mexico.
