I captive reared three; two females and one male. They flew away on September 5, 6, and 7th 2017.
They were very tame and were beautiful.
The third one I tried 5 times before she
would fly away. What a wonderful experience.
Five years ago I raised 5 and this year 3 so am very thankful that I was able to let 8 go to fly south.
No matter how many times I experience their transformation, it always makes me
almost speechless how a caterpillar turns into the magnificent butterfly.
