This morning, I saw 5 larger caterpillars and one smaller one on my milkweed patch which is a registered Monarch Waystation. The milkweed leaves are declining at the bottom of the plants, but the caterpillars were at the tops of the plants on the newer fresher leaves. We saw no caterpillars all summer when the plants were lush. (same scenario last late summer and fall)
