Counted 6 different female/immature ruby throated hummingbirds this evening. Observed them all at once. Major league feeding activity on several nectar feeders, salvias, and firecracker flowers. Constant territory battles. They are really stoking up to put on weight. It was really fun to watch them tonight. The last 2 left the yard to go roost around 7:36 p.m. They really hung in until the last minute.
