On Saturday about 6 pm, I happened to observe about 50 total monarchs nectaring or flying about while I was walking a 3 mile trail near the location that I had previously (on September 7th) seen the roosting monarch groups. Saturday evening I saw a few individual roosting monarchs, but not in groups like I had seen a few days earlier.
