Two male monarchs arrived in the garden this afternoon. One is vibrantly colored with no distinguishing marks; the second male has tattered hindwings along the lower edges and inner wing colors are faded. Both butterflies appear to be in good health and are strong flyers.
A picture of the second monarch nectaring on a tropical milkweed bloom (Asclepias curassavica) is attached.
