I thought today, at the beach at Harrisville State Park, it would be a good day for monarch migration with the wind NNW at 8 mph at 11 AM. But after and hour of not observing any monarchs, I decided to walk the beach as the wind turned NNE at 12 mph. I saw a male monarch on the sand and two other monarchs flying on the edge of the shrubs and trees. I stayed until 3:30 PM without seeing any more monarchs. The day was sunny after an all night rain, and the temperature 67F.
