Seen flying south along highway 15 in Qc between St Jérôme and Laval. Not being aware of the painted ladies in southern Quebec, I assume that some of them were painted ladies, but I would say maybe 5 or 6 that I am sure were monarchs. I have seen monarch migrations along that road in the past.
