The leading edge of the migration appears to be about 50 miles south of Lawrence, Kansas. It rained much of the morning but the sun came out after lunch. I counted four monarchs while driving from Garnett to Richmond in the afternoon. We tagged our first monarchs near Princeton in the evening, tagging 14. 10 were males and 4 females.
