Monarch Larva Sighted
Sightings report image

Date: 09/14/2017

Number: 7

We got six from our tiny patch of Asclepias syriaca ... a few days later we found one more. We think they are all about the same size, except that all of them are now chrysalis but the last one to get in our aquarium is still not quite ready to make a J. Photo shows size of our milkweed patch... never been so productive! We already tag two butterflies from here, and released 4 other butterflies before we got the tags. We also had two butterflies with bent wings, and one that started to hatch but did not succeed (report later).
