Seems as if mostly females are hanging about the feeders. Last year, I carved a larger than lifesize hummingbird, which is still hanging in the lilac bush. It appears that the little ones are taking notice, as both my wife and I have observed them hovering around this flying replica. Perhaps, this is what is keeping the males at bay?
