About 6:00 PM I noticed 4 monarchs in our front prairie nectarine on goldenrod and New England asters near the tree line west of the prairie.
Then I walked down to our main prairie and counted 20 monarchs nectaring mostly on goldenrods - staying low, not flying high at all. Mostly on the western edge of that prairie near the tree line.
Then I went to the Greensboro Pike prairie and counted 4 more monarchs nectarine at the goldenrods.
