Hummingbird Sighting
Sightings report image

Date: 08/21/2017

Number: 4

As sad as it is seeing all the devastation still out on curbs from Harvey hurricane flooding, hummers seem to cheerfully appear. Two squabble where to sit all day long in the River Birch tree. If one leaves to nectar from this situation a flying mad, orange, spread tailed sub adult male Rufous cuts in flying out from his kitchen window domain/feeder. His perch is on a 12 foot high honeysuckle vine twig. As this goes on the fourth sub adult ruby throat man's another River Birch tree daring the three to enter his area of front of house feeder.
Which ever one it is, in photo that does take a break, on one of our 15 feet red metal flower markers hopefully for them to find us next year again.
Thank heavens for cheerful sub adult ruby throats still landing in Houston.
