Released one brand new monarch yesterday morning in a backyard on Sharon Road in Glendale. We had raised him indoors since Sept. 5 after finding him and a hungry-looking praying mantis on milkweed in our yard. A monarch egg that we brought in on a leaf of tuberosa Aug. 24 eclosed today and we'll release him later this afternoon.
