Quite windy yesterday when the adult Monarch was being blown around the yard. It landed repeatedly on Angel Trumpets, perhaps to escape the wind. Not landing on Dahlias which earlier Monarchs seemed drawn to for nectar. Again, perhaps the wind prevented nectaring.
Today 2 adult Monarchs in the yard but not nectaring. There are not many blooms left besides some asters and a 6 ft tall yellow perennial flower.
