We live in Central Fl above Orlando---and 12 days ago we had Irma and 90% of my plants were beat down or shredded. I was out today picking up branches and checking on things---poor milkweed then I realized it wasn't beaten it was being eaten---at least 10 caterpillars in a couple sizes---possibility of 2 females??? so I ran to check my other patch of milkweed---eaten down to nubs---I stand amazed with all that rain and wind that anything could hatch and survive. This is the 4th set of caterpillars this Summer.
