A female and male ran into my window while chasing each other today. Both knocked themselves out. The female came to and was ok after a couple of minutes, but it took the male over 10 minutes. The wasps come and try to sting and attack incapacitated hummingbirds - I have seen this happen again and again over many years. So to protect the birds, if I see one knocked out, I will go and gently pick it up and place it on something soft and guard it from the wasps until it can fly again. Both flew off and were ok :-) The little male was so beautiful.
