I saw 4 monarchs at a park just before sunset flying low to the ground towards the sun in a single file manner, each about 10 minutes apart from the monarch before it. I am thinking that they somehow create scent trails for other migrating monarchs to follow???? I am hoping they find enough nectar along the way. It was very hot today.
