(I usually report from Beresford, SD but we have a river place near Platte, SD. This is a testament to leaving your feeders up until you are SURE hummers have left! I haven't seen any hummers for two weeks in Platte but have left the feeders up with fresh nectar. This little one showed up and has been here all weekend despite the weather being very cool and rainy! (It was also my birthday on 9/21 so a very cool bday gift to have a sighting this late!)
