Saw 1 Monarch Butterfly on the Mexican Sunflowers. We have a lot of other butterflies which include Giant Swallowtails, Eastern Tiger Swallowtail, Fritillary's, many Painted Lady's (the most we have ever had during our last 5 yr's in Texas), Cloudless Sulphurs which dance together up in the sky suggesting mating behavior. We also have Silvwe-Spotted Skipper's, and we have the Hummingbird Moth visiting our flowers. I have found a lot of small caterpillars that are on our plants. Some are just sitting there motionless while other's are eating plants. We keep our garden pesticide free. We should have a lot of butterflies next season.
