Sightings report image

Date: 09/24/2017

Number: 12

Today has been the most active day so far in 2017.

The weather conditions today were mostly sunny with temps around 87 with south winds 5-10.

Much calmer winds today than what we have experienced for the last 7 days or so. This should allow the migration to drop out of southern Nebraska and Iowa. Eagerly waiting to read other blogger updates for today.

The water and food source in our garden is plentiful along with our neighbors who over the years have created a much larger garden. I will point out that the butterfly bush blooms are coming to an end which have been harvested this season by the higher than normal painted lady population.

I will add some other observations in the coming days.
