Saw several throughout the day in our pasture. Towards dusk, they started swarming towards/landing in a silver maple tree.
There is a pretty large pasture (~80 acre ag field in CREP*, so just a natural grassy area) immediately north of me, they were out there in the day time/evening, notably on red clover! They were still in my tree this morning as of 7 a.m.
It looks like it got down to 65F overnight, with 7mph winds out of the SE. There is a large shed just immediately south of the tree, so it appears it would've been shielded. Very cool!
I'll report if they're still there tonight (9/25)!
