Once again, I spotted many individual Monarch butterflies in Urbana and Champaign throughout the day, including 14 at Meadowbrook park in the morning, and 4 at our home in Champaign mid day. All butterflies were seen flying or drinking nectar individually (no roosting in groups seen). Butterflies have been easy to spot every day the past week as the extra-warm, sunny days persist along with strong winds from the south.
