For the two past weeks - I have only seen one female hummingbird each day. The last few days it seemed to be the same lady ... she was longer (taller) than most, very-slender, and very-mobile. Fluttered around with enthusiasm!! Our 3 yr old granddaughter was here on 09/20 and had a bright red dress on with white polka dots. We were standing at the glass-door watching the lady-hummer flying around, and when she caught sight of the granddaughter's red dress, the hummingbird kept coming back to the glass-door to (probably) see if this red dress was a big red flower for her to feast on! The hummer was quite animated - probably wanted to see if this bright red dress had any food in it for her!!
