While unpacking my car at our summer place on Lake Onderdonk (Westerlo, NY), there was a Monarch adult flitting around the parking area. It almost landed on my car! I do have a Milkweed patch on my property. I wonder if it could have been the offspring of an earlier Monarch that visited the site on July 16th?
