Our end of September heat wave broke this afternoon and we had a hummingbird arrive with the cooler winds. It was not interested in my feeder, but the cuphea was still a clear winner.
This is almost a week later than my last sighting of 2016, but I remember having rare hummingbird visits as late as October.
