Spotted a single Monarch this morning at 7:00 AM, it was flying down from the trees at the forest edge into our field, headed NNE but dropping down to grass level.
Temperature was 62F, winds were strong from the North.
A front is moving through now bringing more seasonal temperatures and strong N winds. After a week or more of unseasonably warm temperatures, with daytime highs in the 80's F, overnight lows in the 60"s F, we are now getting back to more normal highs of 60's F and lows in the high 40's F to low 50's F.
