I noticed frenzied visiting activity through the window. But in the 2hrs until I could take a break to get out for a count of 7 they'd thinned out considerably. Still hitting the feeder hard and everything in bloom from Asters to Zinnias. Including the Tomato plants. One spent a very long time with a tomato I'd not paid attention to in awhile since the fruits on it are too small to ripen this season. Now I see it's covered in aphids and white files that surely would've spread quickly. I thank that baby for the heads up! 2 of the likely young residents have stayed. But the temps dropped drastically again last night and they weren't there at the normal time for the evening meal.
