I raised a total of 37 butterflies(a few more uncounted) from egg to adult this past season. The last two, both female, were release to a bed and breakfast garden abloom with Great Asters on 9-26 and 9-28, just in time for clear Autumn skies. The weather guys predict frost in low lying areas on Saturday and Sunday nights with a warming trend to follow for the next week. I hope the three I spotted yesterday (2 male, 1 female feeding on the aster blossoms)will make it safely through the freeze.
