After an all night and morning rain that ended at noon, I decided to see if the monarchs were still migrating in large numbers at Harrisville State Park for a third straight peak day. The first hour I saw 10 monarchs to 12:45 PM when it rained for 20 minutes. I then counted 18 monarchs until 1:40 PM when it again rained for another 20 minutes. From 2 PM to 2:35 PM, I observed 17 monarchs before it rained again for yet another 20 minutes. Finally, from 2:55 PM to 3:55 pm, I saw 12 more monarchs before a very hard rain fell. So, for 3 actual hours of watching monarchs, I had a total of 57. Weather was mostly cloudy with the wind NW-16 gusting to 25+ mph with the temperature in the upper fifties.
