Saturday, 9/23/17. A tattered male monarch flew onto my zinnias & fed. A female arrived and also fed. Later I discovered them coupled. The tattered male kept trying to fly up carrying female. I got them up onto my arm and set them higher up. Question: isn't this late for breeding? Also, I have a second batch of 3 chrysalises I raised from egg, should be emerging later this week.
