Sightings report image

Date: 09/25/2017

Number: 1

We were on the beach in Destin and adults flew past us all day - all heading east. I am definitely seeing the Gulf Frit. On close inspection the wing shape and color pattern are not monarch at all - they also look different as they fly. And we see the wings all over the beach.

There are 100's of them flying by all day. It's amazing!

I took this pix outside of Margaritaville in Destin, FL, today (9/28)! I tried to get a photo of several in flight but they weren't recognizable.
