Date: 09/29/2017

Milk weed grows wild here. My husband and I spotted 3 monarch caterpillars munching on the milk weed on the side of our house.Everyday we watched them. Then 1 day they disappeared. The next day we saw a Chrysallis in the top of our wire fence. We looked around to see if there were more, and yes to our surprise there was another one hanging from a dead plant stem. So we watched them everyday and took photo's. The is the photo of one. I have many more. What a neat thing this was, I never seen a caterpillar form a cocoon like that.
